Fort Edwards Museum & Visitor Center is dedicated to preserving the site of The French & Indian War. Joseph Edwards, one of the early settlers to Hampshire County, and his property was surveyed by the one-and-only George Washington. During the French & Indian War Edward's property became a military fort site for the Virginia Frontier.

It is located along the northern boundary of Capon Bridge in what is now West Virginia. 

Walk the land that once sheltered soldiers, survey the archeological excavation site, and learn something new at the museum & visitor center.
